[ Overview ]

Walker installed the complete network cabling infrastructure — including the on-base data center — supporting the Air Force in delivering cyberspace operations to the Department of Defense and Air Force Information Networks, defending against warfare activities targeting those systems.

[ Scope of Work ]

  • Network Cabling PlantComplete structured cabling infrastructure spanning backbone fiber, horizontal copper, riser pathways, MDF/IDF terminations, and patch panel assemblies — engineered for the DCGS mission and designed to survive successive technology refreshes without re-pulling.

  • On-Base Data CenterBuild of the DCGS data center supporting the network and compute backbone — rack-and-stack, structured cabling, power and cooling integration, and certification of every link before turnover.

  • Certification & DocumentationEnd-to-end testing of copper and fiber links, Fluke-certified records for every run, and complete as-built documentation handed off to base IT and the prime contractor at acceptance.

[ Technical Highlights ]

Federal-grade documentation, BICSI-grade cabling discipline, and tight coordination with the mission systems integrator — every drop labeled, every fiber pair tested, every connection captured in the record.
