[ Overview ]

Walker delivered a classified-capable audio-visual system supporting briefings, operations, simulation, and executive conferencing across one of the Air Force's primary intelligence missions — paired with a complete intrusion detection, access control, and CCTV deployment installed under one program.

[ Scope of Work ]

  • Audio VisualInstallation of an audio-visual system to provide support for classified operations. The system handles classified audio and video sources across a Briefing Room, Operations Floor, Simulation Area, and Executive Conference Room. An Evertz 1156×1156 fiber matrix switcher transports video and audio from twenty-four workstations to an extensive monitor array (104) and a large-format, blended, curved projection system using thirty-six Christie Digital HD12K projectors.

  • Video Wall ProcessingA Cinemassive video wall processor sits on the output of the matrix switcher to allow source windowing across the various monitors and the projection system. Each workstation uses a control touch panel for local AV control; two master control touch panels provide whole-system supervision. Every station has local audio monitoring and intercom.

  • Intrusion Detection & Access ControlComplete design and installation of new intrusion detection (IDS) and access control (ACS) systems, including all associated equipment and appurtenances. Scope covered supervision of rigid and flexible conduit during site preparation, running of all system wires and cables, component installation, programming, testing, and checkout.

  • CCTVA complete and functional CCTV system was installed alongside the IDS/ACS work — with programming coordination across all three subsystems so the security suite operates as one supervised plant rather than three uncoordinated installs.

[ Technical Highlights ]

Sequencing classified-capable AV against simultaneous IDS, ACS, and CCTV installation required tight coordination with mission stakeholders, the contracting officer, and the prime — and conduit supervision at every door, panel, and reader location across all four program spaces.

Walker self-performed cable pulling, terminations, panel programming, and commissioning. The acceptance walk produced a single set of as-built drawings covering Division 27.41 AV and Division 28 IDS/ACS/CCTV under one program.
