A district-wide security backbone: 17 schools, 735+ cameras, Cat 6 + fiber + raceways — engineered campus by campus with district IT.
Project required constant collaboration with the District's IT team to perform a complete design-build Security System Solution which included Cat 6 cabling, fiber optic cabling, raceways, and camera system installation. The completed system covers 17 schools with over 735 cameras deployed. Walker's teams worked diligently to make sure that all high-traffic and obscure areas were covered to ensure the safety of all students.
Camera System Design — Site-walks at all 17 schools to identify high-traffic and obscure areas — sightline planning, mounting strategy, and coverage validation with district administrators.
Cat 6 + Fiber Cabling — Cat 6 horizontal cabling to every camera and fiber backbone between IDFs — labeled, tested, and turned over to district IT with full as-built records.
Raceway Installation — Surface raceways and conduit runs installed throughout the schools to protect cabling and provide clean future-proofing for additional cameras and sensors.
Camera Installation & Commissioning — 735+ cameras installed, focused, programmed, and integrated with the district’s VMS — every camera labeled, IP-assigned, and verified live before the school day.
